Why is that a new new banner? Yes, yes it is! I was rather bored at school and was given a new sketch book so I decided I would do a new new banner seeing as the one before hand suuuuccked. Soooooo I hope ya'll like it~

Hello my favorite ones <3 LOOK NEW CRAPPY HEADER (finally)

I'm currently curled up on my sofa with a hot cup of tea sheltering from the cold and my favorite playlist playing (mainly featuring Coldplay, The Vaccines and The Beatles aha) all because my school is shut because all the water pipes have frozen. Brilliant! So yes it is FREEZING!! It's meant to be March, you know spring But it's actually snowing at the moment. I guess more tea is needed~ 

So I haven't done much art at the moment. Been working on my current painting for ages now. I just can't seem to get it right so I keep changing it. I've used soooooo much paint on it!! I love textured paintings though so I thought I might try and develop a bit of a textural style aha... Well recently I went to London to the National Gallery and they had Van Gogh's Sunflowers there! It was a real treat. I absolutely love his work (and not just because he was in Doctor Who...), it's properly good and very inspiring~ I encourage you to go and have a good look.

So yes here is my WIP painting. 

Working on a poem for it as well because it's got a bit of a story to it.

Also recently I found this shop on Etsy which sell these gorgeous and practical tribal bags for a really reasonable price. Mine was about £15 including P&P and it's really good quality. I'm a sucker for anything tribal haha!

Alsoooo I went to Sussex this weekend to visit my nan and fam when my mum and I stumbled across this gorgeous Zara dress in this crazy antiques shop in Lewes. £15 for a Zara dress yes please and it fits perfectly! Looks a bit like a little girls dress on the hanger but it looks much better on. So this is actually going to be sitting in my wardrobe for some time as it's going to be my graduation dress in July but I thought I'd show it off now because I love it so much!

Happy Mother's Day as well!

 My poor mum had to get this awful excuse of a card from myself but I wrote lots on the inside and made some nommy lemon cupcakes. Love you mumsiepoos <3

So yes that is it really. My life is pretty boring at the moment. Trying to finish school ajshfjdfj! I'm also trying to cram a 6 minute speech that I had to write into my head on self esteem into my head for an upcoming school thing in 3 weeks. Mehh.

Step Out Into The Wild, There's A Beautiful Storm In Your Eyes~

It's February!! Yaaay! I love February very much because it's my birthday month woop. Just have to wait till the 21st then I will be the long awaited sixteen. I remember when I was ten and saying to myself that that is when I will be  really old. Thanks ten year old self... It's also half term. February is so good <3 Lots of eating and sleeping I expect. So yess I've been more or less busy art wise recently. I'm working on quite a lot of things at the moment.

Lalalalaaa~

This was for a little school art project and I had to do it that day and I had no supplies whatsoever so I had to borrow my friends paint and scavenge around for something to paint on and I found some pieces of card. It was only later on until I found out how much card sucks to paint on. It literary absorbs all the paint so the blacks arn't sharp and layering succcks. So yes I learnt a valuable lesson with that... Oh and also it fell into my painting pallet... Which is why there is globules of random paint on it... 

Personal acrylics on canvas project I am working on.

Another acrylics school project. This one I am immensely enjoying. The brief was to find and paint a picture of something peaceful/sad/or quiet and I found one of a lavender field and I thought hey that's peaceful and quiet because you know flowers can't speak! So yes not very creative but I was running out of time aha. All the layering and texture adding is very fun. Loving it~ Apart from the fact that the canvas board I am using is peeling! I'm working out ways to combat this but nothing seems to be working. Very sad indeed... With flowers (and a mass of flowers) I am very inspired by Claude Monet and how he paints flowers although my work is clearly no where in the league as his haha. When I was little around eight or nine years old I saw one of his paintings on telly and I remember being in awe at how he paints the way he paints and how he uses colours like in these two below so I think he has to be one of my big inspirers. Truly amazing!!~

Okay so today I have listened to this song on repeat alllll day. It's beautiful. Can't wait for his new EP Into The Wild to come out on the 26th of March! My friend and I are going to see him in concert on the 17th of March I'm so excited!!! His name is Lewis Watson and his voice is just amazing. If you like Ed Sheeran then you will love Lewis. He also reminds me of Bombay Bicycle Club but maybe that's just me. Listen and fall in love.
